Dear friends,
It is a great pleasure for me to update you on recent events
concerning our Society. We haven't been in touch since
the Congress in Beijing last November, and I wish to
thank all the participants once again for their expertise
and input that made it such a great success.
I believe that the Congress not only represents the state of
the art in the field of Cryosurgery, but has become a unique
opportunity for people to meet each other.
According to our policy, so far I have done my best to create new occasions for all people who have interest in Cryosurgery to get together.
From March 26 to 29 ISC attended the Congress of the European Association of Urology in Milan/Italy, during which an important workshop on the subject of cryosurgery in urology took place with the contribution of its members and friends:

Among a lot of participants a very stimulating discussion
ensued that confirmed the growing interest in
cryosurgery within the urological community.
On the 17th, 18th and 21st of April ISC is organizing Multidisciplinary International Meetings in Palma de Mallorca, Malaga (Spain) and Trieste (Italy) with the participation of experts from Spain, Italy, China.
Next May I will be representing ISC at the AUA in Orlando, Florida. Many important communications concerning cryosurgery will be issued by both individuals and multi-institutional teams like the Cold Registry Group.
Arrangements for the coming 15th World Congress of Cryosurgery that will be held in July, 2009 in St. Petersburg/Russia are already being made: next month I will be meeting Dr. Prokhorov, the president in charge of the event.
I am fully confident that thanks to your active and enthusiastic involvement the results will be even better than those obtained last November!
Meanwhile another major event with the patronage of ISC is taking shape: a Regional Meeting on General and Thoracic Cryosurgery and related subjects, to be held in Egypt next November.
The locations we are planning for: Alexandria and a marvelous 4-day cruise on the river Nile. Of course you will be informed about the details as soon as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, I send you my best
wishes!
